Wild Fuschia Bakehouse, located in the picturesque seaside village of Dunfanaghy County Donegal, opened its doors in 2017. The brainchild of Sian McCann, the bakery offered a range of delicious homemade bread and baked goods, based on traditional recipes. The bakery shop has since closed as a result of Covid but the popularity of the bread mixes has grown and the gift range of bread mixes has developed into a retail range of four different mixes.

We were delighted two receive a silver award in 2020 from Blas nah Eireann for our Stout Bread Mix and two stars from the Great Taste Awards 2020 for both our Wheaten bread and Soda Bread mixes.
The range of bread mixes are simple, wholesome and tasty and so easy to make. There’s simply No Mess and No Fuss with our mixes and they are ready in under an hour. A busy schedule shouldn’t mean we have to compromise on the good things in life and the bread from Wild Fuschia Bakehouse just make life that little bit brighter.

Sian’s love of baking is inspired by her mother, her granny and her great auntie Maisie and her fond memories of the tastes and smells of home baking growing up. Sian’s mother always has something freshly baked in the house and is affectionately known as “Granny Bun”. According to Sian, she is simply taking her place in a long line of women who love to bake and to share the results.
